Top Picks - Stop-Motion Animation DVDs  from your Animated TV Guide
"Robot Chicken" on Adult Swim is a breakaway hit. If you're a fan of "Robot Chicken," you'll like these comedies as well. They all feature stop-motion animation, the technique used in "Robot Chicken's" animation.

1) "Celebrity Deathmatch" Greatest Hits
"Celebrity Deathmatch" has the same sense of humor of "Robot Chicken" when it comes to pop culture. In this series from MTV, celebrities are put in the ring to duke it out. Most of the time, lots of bloodshed and laughs are involved. See celebs like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Celine Dion, Rob Zombie, the Spice Girls and many more. You'll love the commentary and animated violence. The only drawback to this DVD is its availability and price.

2) Mr. Bill's Disasterpiece Theater Presents: The Definitive Collection
Mr. Bill was an early clay character who met one violent end after another on "Saturday Night Live." Mr. Bill is a classic because the animation was cutting edge at the time, and the humor is completely irreverent, much like "Robot Chicken." This set includes "Mr. Bill Does Vegas," "Mr. Bill Goes Hollywood" and "Mr. Bill Christmas Special." Lots of guest stars show up, and the extras are lots of fun.

3) "The Incredible Adventures of Wallace & Gromit"
These are the first shorts created by Nick Park, the animator behind "Chicken Run." Three shorts are included in this set. "A Grand Day Out" was nominated for an Oscar. "The Wrong Trousers" and "A Close Shave" both won Oscars in the years they were nominated. Though the humor isn't as off-the-wall as "Robot Chicken," the animation is amazing and the jokes are really funny. It helps if you appreciate British humor, too.
