Have you ever tried...
Trying new foods is one of the best parts of being vegetarian and vegan. Make it a game - every time you go to the grocery store, pick up one thing you've never tried before. Here's a few suggestions:
Sunchokes? Sunchokes, also called Jerusalem artichokes, are an edible tuber that grows underground, much like a potato. (Pictured)
Brown rice syrup? Have you ever tried brown rice syrup? Learn more about this vegan and gluten-free liquid sugar substitute that can be used in baking.
Nama shoyu? In Japanese, nama means raw (or unpasteurized) and shoyu means soy sauce. Nama Shoyu is raw, unpasteurized soy sauce.
Halloumi cheese? A salty and unusual cheese that can be grilled, fried, or set on fire.
