If you made a New Year's resolution to go vegetarian in 2013, I want to make sure you stick with it! Here's some tips and pointers to help you along the way. Got a question? Post it in the forum and I'll be sure to respond.

Know what's what
Figuring out your goal is the most important step when resolving to go vegetarian. Do you want to eat just mostly meatless meals? Are you done with meat for good? What about eggs and cheese? Are you hoping to go one step further and become fully vegan? If you don't yet know the answer to these questions, or haven't even thought about it, start here:

    Browse the bookshelves
    If you haven't already, hit the bookstore or the library for plenty of inspiration. I've also written a book specifically designed to help people go vegan and, more importantly, stay vegan: The Daily Vegan Planner. It's filled with meal plans, nutritional counts, journaling space and daily inspiration gathered from over two decades of meat-free living and years of experience counseling new vegetarians.

    I find that people worry way too much about nutrition when trying to go vegetarian or vegan, but no matter how many times I tell people that's it's super easy to get plenty of vegetarian protein, folks still worry. Better to worry about your B12 intake:
